Why is it..? 🤔

Why is it, Reader, that everyone is so quick to complain about what's stressing them out?

We all take a chance to complain.. and yes, even me at times!

"I can't believe that [beep] at work said this.."

"I'm so sick of it being like this."

"You don't understand me."

"I feel like I'm on the merry-go-round and I want to get off."

"Did anyone get the number plate of the truck that just went through me?"

I could go on, but I know you get my drift. (Reply to me with your repeat gripe.)

But, do you know what this language does?

It creates CONFIRMATION BIAS..

Your brain will get to understand that complaining is your truth, and it will literally give you more reasons to complain.

That's how the brain works. It's primary job is to keep us safe, and it only knows what you believe is safe and true.

So, you can continue on attracting more ju ju to confirm your state of mind..

Or, you can switch it up.

It might seem hard at first, so how about I make it really easy for you?

Tonight in THE HEALING CIRCLE we are holding our monthly meditation call.

We teach your brain its safe to be still, and blissful. We hand you the metaphorical platter of peace.

And I'm giving it to you for less than the price I always previously offered it.

It's a no brainer - see what I did there?!

Will you join us, Reader, in this beautiful space just for women.

So then, with practice, your brain can start to feel a little more like this...

See you tonight?

I hope so🩷

Love,

Ali x

How many times have you said, "I'm ok," to people who've asked how you are, Reader? Even when you're not. I come from the generation that taught us to suck it up. We had to carry on. We never talked about how we were feeling. There's a bunch of adults out there, parents and grandparents, who's brains and nervous systems don't feel safe being vulnerable. And guess what those parents and grandparents have taught the generations who've followed..? Yep, the same. For example; if a child was never...

Last night, Reader, I watched the Jimmy Barnes documentary. Love him or hate him, as an Aussie who grew up in the 80s, it brought back so many memories of him, and Cold Chisel! For those of you outside Australia, Jimmy and his band were a huge part of our music culture. And none of us had any idea at the time what the story of his past was. During the doco, Jimmy said something that felt like a brutal truth for anyone who's been through something challenging.. “My life was a big storm, and I...
